Shakerea, once a fashion model, spent ten years in front of the camera as a subject before becoming intrigued and haunted by what she could create being on the opposite end of the lens.
She then met and became the protégé of Montego Bay‘s Alan Smith of Evolution Photography and honed her skills primarily in capturing nuptial images… but with her own unique delivery.
The taste of her work is wide and varied but the one defining element that her images exude is the innate human attribute of reflection. Reflection as explicit as that day you said “I do”, and as implicit as the thoughts provoked by the final resting place of a complete stranger.
Her style speaks for itself and will undoubtedly stir many a conversation.
